A new book has been published by the company AuthorHouse, and the author is none other than Cowhorn Creek resident Melba Conaway!
Melba’s book, Out of Darkness, has just been released and is available for purchase.
Melba is a native of Oklahoma but grew up in a small, rural community in Arkansas. Following college and World War II, she returned to the same community, where she and her husband, Earl, made their home, reared three children and worked. She served as Secretary to the Superintendent of Mansfield Public Schools and subsequently worked for the Bank of Mansfield as an employee, officer and a member of the Board of Directors.
Although Melba is not a professional writer, she previously authored a novel, A Long Way Home, and has contributed short stories to different publications. She enjoys writing as a means of expression, with the hope that it will brighten the lives of others.
The story line of Out of Darkness deals with a vibrant, young designer named Angela Graham, who is beset by many crises in her life. You will be totally absorbed in Angela’s dilemmas as the world seems to collapse around her. Observe as she attempts to cope with job difficulties, family unrest and health issues by relying on her own self-sufficiency. Angela Graham’s quest for happiness and meaning in life will bring both joy to the heart and a tear to the eye. This inspiring story will serve as a source of encouragement and will help point its readers to the love and mercy that they will find on their spiritual journeys.
