Holiday's Commitment to Veterans

Veterans will find that Holiday Retirement is different from other senior living providers. Not only do we provide an exceptional lifestyle, but we are dedicated to celebrating veterans and supporting important veteran-related causes.

Holiday Retirement is a National Founding Partner in the noble Veteran's History Project. The purpose of the project is to collect veterans’ personal accounts of war, which are preserved in the Library of Congress and used to convey the realities of war to future generations.

Veterans History Project Holiday Retirement is one of the only original senior living providers involved with the project. The Oakmont, a Holiday Retirement community in Chico, Calif., has participated in the Veterans History Project for seven years, collecting invaluable personal recollections from more than 1,200 veterans. Many other Holiday Retirement communities all across the country have also made significant contributions to the project.

In addition to joining veteran-related causes, Holiday Retirement communities also regularly host events dedicated to veterans. Our communities ensure veterans are at the forefront with veteran appreciation events during Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Flag Day, and other celebrations. For our resident veterans, many of our communities feature a Wall of Honor – a way for us to show appreciation for the sacrifices these brave men and women have made on our behalf.

Tour a Holiday Retirement community today to discover why more than 12,000 veterans are proud to call us home.
