Kamlu Retirement Inn maintenance technician nominated for Argentum Hero Award
As a maintenance technician at Kamlu Retirement Inn, not only does KC Trammel ensure seniors maintain their independence by creating a livable environment, but he also truly makes every day at the retirement community in Vancouver, Washington, a little brighter.
KC’s contributions to both Kamlu Retirement Inn residents and the senior living community itself are numerous. From hand painting the community’s Wall of Honor to celebrate veterans and their spouses to making an extra effort to really understand residents’ repair and maintenance needs placing top priority on their safety, KC is an integral part of the senior living community.
When not working at Kamlu Retirement Inn, KC volunteers with his parents, who travel to area senior living communities and sing and perform for residents. KC helps to set up and breakdown their stage and karaoke equipment.
And now, KC’s compassion, drive, and integrity are being recognized as a nominee for the 2016 Argentum Hero Awards.
KC is one of 14 finalists from around the country, and voting is now open for the 2016 Argentum Hero Awards through Friday, March 4. Vote today at http://wshe.es/hJzaEUxT to help KC be one of this year’s five winners. Individuals selected as an Argentum Hero will be celebrated at the Hero Lunch at this year’s Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference in Denver, Colorado.
“We’re thrilled KC is being recognized for his hard work and dedication to our community,” said Shannon Taylor, community manager at Kamlu Retirement Inn. “He adores working with seniors, and he has found his calling.”
Congrats, KC, and thanks for all that you do for Holiday Retirement residents and communities!
