In addition to being honored with the Chef Professionalism Award from ACF, Chef Tony also had the exciting opportunity to accept an ACF chapter achievement award on behalf of ACF Pro Chefs Oregon, which was named Western Region Chapter of the Year.
“This award isn’t just for me,” Chef Tony insisted while accepting the award at ACF convention. “As a chef, I’m only as good as my coworkers, and the award is for us and our community, Astor House at Springbrook Oaks.”
Despite being an award-winning chef, Chef Tony still considers one of his greatest achievements to be his involvement in Bite of Oregon. For the past 10 years, Tony has been the chairman of Bite of Oregon, a celebration of Oregon’s food, people, and extraordinary quality of life. Bite of Oregon benefits the Special Olympics of Oregon and raised more than $100,000 in 2015.
