Aspen View enrichment coordinator honored with Ken Moore Community Service Award
Wendy Mills, enrichment coordinator at Aspen View, pours her heart and soul into supporting the senior living community residents and the Billings community.
One of Wendy’s shining achievements is her work with Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies. The group receives hand-knit caps from the Nifty Knitters, a group of Aspen View residents that works with CLICK for Babies to raise awareness among new parents about shaken baby syndrome.
In early May, Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies celebrated Wendy and her passion for giving back to the community by honoring her with the Ken Moore Community Service Award. Wendy joined fellow Montana residents dedicated to reducing infant deaths throughout the state at Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies’ annual auction and fundraiser, Rhinestones N Rodeo.
“When I read the letter letting me know I was receiving the award, I was speechless,” explained Wendy. “I truly enjoy all the work I’m able to do at Aspen View and with the Nifty Knitters, so it is quite an honor to be recognized for mine and the residents’ efforts.”
