Features - Travel Program

Holiday Retirement offers a unique program that provides residents with an opportunity to stay for up to seven days at other communities throughout the U.S. and Canada at no charge (except Hawaii*) based on guestroom availability. Travel arrangements beyond lodging such as transportation and directions are arranged by the traveling-resident.

During their visit, residents will continue enjoying the same chef-prepared meals, scheduled transportation, and other services they receive at their home community. If residents bring along a guest or a family member who stays with them in the guestroom, the guest's lodging is also free of charge. However, a charge would apply for meals taken by a non-resident. Please note that guestrooms are smoke free and unable to accommodate pets.

A list of Holiday Retirement community guestrooms is available to residents through the Resident Relations Department. Not all of our communities have a guestroom, and the availability for any given location can vary. Not all guestrooms are uniform, so residents need to express special needs or requests that would make their stay more enjoyable.

By calling the travel line, residents may request the dates they wish to visit a host community. Once the trip is booked, the resident will receive an itinerary confirming their travel plans.

This travel program is just another way that Holiday provides residents with active, independent retirement living!
