March of Dimes
Holiday Retirement has long been a supporter of local and national charities. Holiday’s award-winning Senior Serving Seniors program, which encourages seniors to volunteer in their community, is a staple of the Holiday lifestyle and has a specific company-wide focus each month.
Senior Serving Seniors’ focus for the month of March is March of Dimes.
Since its inception in 1938, the March of Dimes has saved the lives of thousands of babies. Originally created by Franklin Delano Roosevelt to combat polio, the organization swiftly accomplished its goal of eliminating polio in the U.S. by funding research for the polio vaccine. Its original mission accomplished, the March of Dimes turned its attention to the broader focus of preventing birth defects and decreasing infant mortality.
Today, the organization is still a major contributor to research related to birth defects and premature births.
Holiday is proud to support the March of Dimes in its continued efforts to increase the number of full-term, healthy pregnancies across the United States. To get involved, visit a Holiday community near you, or go to www.marchofdimes.org.
