Our chef – named Holiday Retirement’s “Facility Chef of the Year in 2003” – prepares three sumptuous meals from scratch daily, served in our beautiful dining room. And our entire staff provides fun and stimulating activities, off-site excursions, transportation to your appointments, housekeeping, maintenance, repairs...and plenty of smiles!
There’s plenty to see and do at Longlake Chateau. Spend an afternoon tending to the residents’ garden overlooking beautiful Long Lake, sit by the fish pond while you enjoy a babbling waterfall, or simply sit and visit with your neighbors.
If you’re in the mood for a little adventure, you can get in a round – or just kick a bucket of balls - at our local golf course, go shopping at any of several malls in our immediate vicinity, or take a drive to spectacular Mount Benson. Take a walk down by the harbor and spend the day watching boats and seagulls, or catch a sandcastle competition down on the Parksville beaches. And Nanaimo is just a ferry ride away from Vancouver, the gem of British Columbia.
