Apple Blossom team members get pies in the face to benefit Alzheimers Association
Residents and employees of Holiday Retirement at Apple Blossom baked some fun into a fundraiser they hosted for their local Alzheimer’s Association chapter.
For the last month, retirement community residents collected loose change in different jars that represented various Apple Blossom employees. At the end of the month-long fundraising effort, the employee with the most change in his or her jar was “honored” with a pie in the face at the celebratory supper to congratulate residents on all their hard-work fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Association.
During the fundraiser supper in November, four members of the senior living community’s management team got pies in the face while Apple Blossom residents cheered and applauded.

To cap off the evening, the retirement community presented the Alzheimer’s Association with a check for $325.75 at the supper. Members of the local Alzheimer’s Association joined the local residents for the festivities, raffles and pie-in-the-face entertainment.
Apple Blossom residents are dedicated to supporting local causes, especially organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association, which raises funds for a disease that hits close to home for many seniors.
