Bridge Park residents celebrate fashions of decades past
Residents at Bridge Park, an independent senior living community in Seattle, love giving back to their local community, and know how to have fun doing it. Most recently, the community set out to support the West Seattle Food Bank at its Vintage Fashion Show Fundraiser.
The afternoon kicked off with a wine tasting, after which Bridge Park residents settled in for a vintage fashion show that showcased trends from the ‘20s, ‘30s, and ‘40s. All outfits were provided courtesy of Goodwill, and everyone enjoyed seeing the embodiment of style throughout the different eras.
“It was so fun to see our residents’ reactions to all the outfits; some of them have worn these styles themselves,” said Briana Kemple, enrichment coordinator for Bridge Park. “More than anything, they enjoyed gathering donations for West Seattle Food Bank and celebrating our local community.”
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Bridge Park residents and community management team, they raised more than $3,000 and 600 pounds of food for West Seattle Food Bank.Looking for a dedicated independent senior living community like Bridge Park near you or a loved one? Let us help!
