Tommy and Linda Hamilton moved into Holiday Retirement’s Lakeshore Estates in May of 2016. The couple, who said they chose the community because of the many kind residents and staff, quickly became fixtures in the Lakeshore Estates social scene.
Today, both Tommy and Linda are community ambassadors, a role they take very seriously. They welcome every new resident individually, and with the kind of warmth that helped them know they were making the right choice in moving to Lakeshore Estates. That welcoming spirit extends well beyond a new neighbor’s first few days in the community. The Hamiltons make a point of greeting everyone in the dining hall each morning at breakfast and are known to lend a helping hand whenever others in the community need a little support.
Never a pair to sit on the sidelines, Tommy and Linda have made their mark in other activities, as well. The busy duo were named Mr. and Mrs. Lakeshore Estates in 2017. Tommy is also something of an MVP in many of the community’s athletic events. He’s part of Lakeshore Estates’ championship bean bag baseball team and the Turbo Hitters, the community’s multi-championship-winning balloon volleyball team. And in the arena of nontraditional competition, Tommy won the coveted watermelon seed-spitting championship earlier this year.
When they aren’t making new friends or indulging their competitive spirit, the Hamiltons relax with a bit of bingo and pokeno. By reputation, Tommy and Linda routinely walk away from these events as the big winners. About this, Resident Experience Coordinator Deanna Hart said, “Some may call them lucky, but our community is lucky to have them. Tommy and Linda bring life to Lakeshore Estates.”
