Six mocktail drink recipes to keep seniors hydrated this summer
Because the human body is made up of 60 percent water, staying hydrated is important to keep our bodies functioning properly. As we get older, our body’s water content decreases and the risk for dehydration increases. This means the consequences of dehydration become more serious, especially during the summer months.
The most common signs and symptoms of dehydration include headaches, dizziness, nausea, forgetfulness, confusion, deep breathing, and fatigue. For seniors, these health risks elevate the importance of staying hydrated.
Drinking water can sometimes get boring, but with these six fun mocktail recipes, we are certain you will have fun while stocking up on nutrients needed to stay hydrated!
